Jeroen Haverkorn

Executive sidekick.

Outdoors and in the boardroom.

You lead a company, a board or a leadership team.

On paper things are in order. The strategy is written down, the numbers mostly add up.

But the team is polite where it should be honest. Decisions take longer than they should. And what you agreed at the offsite has faded within a month. Now what?

Time to make it stick.

What do you want?

Maybe you sense that the team is stuck.

The signals are there. Meetings that run long and land nowhere. The real conversation happening in the corridor afterwards. Trust that looks high on paper and turns thin when it counts.

You want a team that says what it thinks, decides, and then carries the decision together. Eighty percent agreement, a hundred percent commitment.

And you want to grow yourself. As a leader, and as a person.

But who do you ask?

Change that lasts takes months, with the team and with the leader apart. That is how I work: in journeys, never in one-off events.

You want depth, in plain language. Someone who has sat across the table from executives for twenty-five years and knows the pressure, the speed and the loneliness of the role.

Someone who is not thrown by what comes up. I sit next to you, and I say what I see.

AI adoption

With Elfried and Tijmen I run H3. We help organisations put AI to work, in the daily work of real teams.

My part is the people side. Leaders who know what they want from it, teams that dare to change how they work, and a number that shows it is working.

Leadership team journeys

Much of my work is with leadership teams at board and executive level, often through ForChiefs.

A journey runs for months. Offsites, real work in between, and the leader coached alongside the team.

The test is simple. Six months on, does this team decide better and faster, and does it carry what it decides?

Executive coaching

Next to the journeys I coach a small number of CEOs and executives one to one, over several months. Sometimes at the table, often walking outside.

I can only take on a few people a year. So I start with a call of half an hour. Then we both know whether to go ahead, or whether I can refer you to someone better placed.

Threshold

Some moments ask more than coaching. Selling the company you built. A reorganisation that cost you people you valued. A success that leaves you strangely empty.

For those moments I am building Threshold: a year for CEOs around an old rite of passage. Sixty hours alone in nature, without food, in silence.

Then the hardest part. Bringing it back into the boardroom, and making it stick.

A small group, carefully selected.

My background

Outside first. Then inside.

For twenty-five years I have worked across the table from executives, and for fifteen years beside them as a coach.

I started in business, at Ziggo and as a consultant at Boer & Croon. In 2014 I co-founded Elements, wilderness expeditions for men. After that I guided corporate leaders on wilderness trails for Aberkyn and McKinsey.

Twelve years of taking executives outside taught me this: what happens out there is real, and it disappears within weeks unless you build the bridge back.

That bridge is my work. Leadership teams that stay honest under pressure. Leaders who have grown up, not only grown.

I work in plain language, from person to person. Which does not mean we will not talk about what you feel.

Let's talk

Your time is scarce.

So I like to talk first, for half an hour. You hear my voice, ask what you want to ask, and we both find out whether this fits.

No cost, no obligation, and treated with discretion.

One letter a month on leadership that grows up. No tips. What I see in boardrooms and in the field.
